There is still time to come to the library and look for a Halloween book to read. We hope to see you at the library during Trunk or Treat on the Virginia Square from 5:30 to 7:00 pm this Friday, October 25, or you can stop by the library before or during your own Trick or Treating adventure on Thursday, October 31 as we are open until 6:00 pm on the 31st. We would love to have any trick or treaters stop by.
If you come in this Saturday, October 12 (9:00 to 12:00), you can make a spider to add to our web. Our little pumpkin-colored guy is a little lonesome.
We have a bunch of spider books here in a corner of the library and even a tuffet for you to sit upon while you look at them. This Saturday, October 12, is the second Saturday of the month; therefore, the library will be open from 9:00 to 12:00 if you want to come in a find something a little spooky to read. There won’t be any “curds and whey” to eat, but there might just be a cookie.
If you want to read a book about corn and make a piece of Indian corn, we can help you do those things at the library. Because this Saturday is the 2nd Saturday of the month, we will be open from 9 am until 12 pm.
If you would like to practice some of what you have been learning in school or if would like to play school at the library, we have a new little set of books that you might find fun.
If you attended the Summer Reading Program here at the library, and you would like to have the bee and the jar of jam you made, you can pick them up at the library.
