Christmas stories will be read aloud this Saturday, December 14th, at 10:00 am at the Virginia Memorial Public Library. Children of all ages are welcome to attend.
The Virginia Memorial Public Library will be open at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 6 to participate in Christmas Around the Square. There will be a couple of vendors here, and activities for children of all ages to do, or you can just come in to warm up and visit.
Kids can make a Christmas tree craft . . .
. . . and color a Christmas picture for the residents of Walker’s Nursing Home.
There is still time to come to the library and look for a Halloween book to read. We hope to see you at the library during Trunk or Treat on the Virginia Square from 5:30 to 7:00 pm this Friday, October 25, or you can stop by the library before or during your own Trick or Treating adventure on Thursday, October 31 as we are open until 6:00 pm on the 31st. We would love to have any trick or treaters stop by.
If you come in this Saturday, October 12 (9:00 to 12:00), you can make a spider to add to our web. Our little pumpkin-colored guy is a little lonesome.
We have a bunch of spider books here in a corner of the library and even a tuffet for you to sit upon while you look at them. This Saturday, October 12, is the second Saturday of the month; therefore, the library will be open from 9:00 to 12:00 if you want to come in a find something a little spooky to read. There won’t be any “curds and whey” to eat, but there might just be a cookie.
We have a lot of fun Halloween books here at the library. Don’t be afraid to come in and check them out!
