a special visitor to VMPL in June…Mark your calendars!

We have some old magazines here at the library. If you are interested in having any of them, please come in this week and pick some out.

If you have children between birth and 5 years of age, your children are eligible to receive a free book through the mail every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and its local sponsors, Bound to Stay Bound Books Foundation and Prairieland United Way. All you have to do is register your children. The sets of books for the different age groups are changed every year. The first birth-age book and the last 5-year-old book are the same for each child in the program. At age five the children age out of the program. You can register your children for the program at ImaginationLibrary.com or find a link to the Imagination Library on the Prairieland United Way website. To register, you will need to enter your children’s names and birthdates, and also you will need to give your email address so that if your residential address changes, you can notify the Imagination Library via email of the change. If you need any help registering your children for this program, which provides free books to children, the Virginia Memorial Public Library will be glad to help you.

Plan to be on the Rexroat Prairie on Tuesday mornings in June.
